Scratches Out Of Dirt Bike Plastics

Let’s accept the challenge of scratching out of dirt bike plastics. Since it seems to be a tricky job, we can follow a couple of ways to get the job done. Don’t worry, I am here to instruct you step by step.

Hey dear blustery guys, it is me coming again in front of you. Today I am going to show you some simple processes about how to get scratches out of dirt bike plastics. All the ways that I’m going to share are personally applied and they work in practical life. So don’t hesitate to apply any of them. Let’s find the best way.

4 Different Ways To Get Scratches Out Of Dirt Bike Plastics:

Scratches are very common for bikes. Since it makes a punk look for the bike, the users may not allow it. A lot of ways are applied by them. Many of them worked perfectly, while some may not work; therefore, some made a credible decay to their bikes.

I got some fruitful results after applying these ways that I’m going to share with you. Since it is the decision-making part, beg your concentration.

Way-1: Use of Speedy Water Spray

Before going to the depth of the process, you will need some tools and equipment like:

  • Detergent powder
  • Soft water pipe
  • Water gun
  • Plastic brush

As you have to remove dirt from bike plastic, first of all, you have to soak the plastic as much as you can so that the dirt can loosen down from the plastic. After enough soaking, the part comes to apply a water gun on it.

Since it is not a metal body, the force from the water must be at a tolerable level. Another matter needs to be concerned that there might be some metal sand in the dirt. If the sand gets forced it may scratch on the plastic which will be proven very unorthodox.

After spraying enough water with an optimum force, a maximum amount of dirt should get out of the plastic. If it is so, good news for you because you need not work very hard.

Now come to the second part of the process.  Let’s use the brush after soaking with detergent mixed water. Rub the brush softly on the plastic area so that only the dirt comes out and the plastic remains intact. Please be careful when you are rubbing. After the rubbing is done, wash the plastic area nicely and your job is done.

Way-2: Using Sponge

This is another way to get the job done. Therefore some equipment is needed at this stage also. Let me tell you about the equipment.

  • Hard sponge
  • Liquid soap or detergent powder
  • Hand gloves
  • Enough water to wash

First of all, again you need to soak the plastic body in water. Because you may not want to work that hard to get the job done. So soaking is a good option for you to make the dirt softer to wash.

Then the part comes which I usually like to avoid. Wear hand gloves and rub the plastic area with a sponge. Before rubbing the plastic ensure that you have used the detergent powder or liquid soap for getting scratched out of the dirt bike part. This idea seems to be primitive and naive but effective.

After rubbing enough, you need to just wash the plastic area with fresh water and hopefully, you will find your job is done

Way-3: Use Of Metal Brush

Now comes a serious process. This process is not recommended if the plastic area is not dirt. Sometimes an extra layer of fungus covers the plastic area, and the plastic area gets decaying day by day. If the condition is so, then only this process can be applied.

Again you will need some different equipment for this process. The equipment is:

  • Metal brush
  • Lubricant oil
  • Flannel cloth
  • Detergent powder
  • Smooth fabric
  • Enough fresh water

At this process, you need not soak the plastic area. Rather let it dry in the sun. Then use the lubricant oil lightly to the surface. Now use the metal brush to clean the fungus area. Be careful of the brush clearing the fungus only.

You have to use the lubricant oil a couple of times so that the fungus-affected area can be cleared easily. The lubricant oil may do its job nicely. As a result, some of the plastic parts may be affected. Don’t worry!

After cleaning the fungus-affected part, use the detergent powder to wash the surface nicely. Use the funnel cloth to remove the left dirt from the plastic surface. This process may take time, but it is capable of bringing out a fruitful result in cleaning dirt from bike plastic.

Finally, use the smooth cloth on the scratch affected area. Rub it with a convincing force so that the affected part can be rebuilt and mitigate the scratch. If you need, you can use a bit of water also. The scratch may not be that deep to be highly concerned. Hence you need to be ready for making the compensation.

And so now, I am going to share the hardest process for getting scratched out of dirt bike plastics. This process is only recommended only if the plastic area is fully rusted with dirt, therefore, the dirt is hard.

Way-4: Use Of Razor Blade

Let’s discuss the equipment you will need to get the job done. Not too many but effective.

  • Razorblade
  • Sandpaper
  • Freshwater

In this process, you have to scrape the plastic body first to rub off the dandruff plastic from the surface. You need not rub it so hard, rather the rub job has to be softer. The actual plan is not to decay the surface plastic, rather your aim should be just to clean the surface. After one or two rounds of scraping, your job may be half done.

Now, the part comes to doing the job with the sandpaper. Smoothly remove the dirt part so that the surface even does not understand what is happening. It may be a blizzard to hear, but it is the only way.

Finally, just wash the surface with fresh water and your job will be done. You can use smooth cloth for making it shiny or use any other product for this purpose. It depends on your taste.

The job is a bit audacious to get scratches out of dirt bike plastics. Hence, it is important and we need to perform. So, there is no hidden point to fear what you will have to perform, rather search the best possible way and start your work shortly.
